Noida: Continuous measures are being taken to eliminate the problem of jam from Noida- Greater Noida. To reduce traffic jam and improve the connectivity of the city, Noida Authority is going to build a new elevated road. This elevated road will be built from Rajnigandha underpass (Sector-3) to Sector-57 intersection, which will benefit lakhs of people of Delhi-NCR and will also reduce traffic pressure on the road.
This elevated road will be about 5.5 km long
Its construction will start from the Rajnigandha underpass and will go through Sector-12, 22 and 56 Tiraha to the intersection of Sector 57. This road will connect various sectors of Noida and make travel easier. This elevated road will especially benefit the people of industrial and residential areas of Noida. The connectivity of many important sectors nearby will become even better. Especially the passengers going to Ghaziabad, Khoda, Indirapuram and Delhi will get great relief.
Design of elevated road
The elevated road will be four lanes, which will end the problem of traffic jams. It can be prepared on a single pillar design so that the space under the road can also be used. Due to less number of traffic lights, vehicles will be able to move fast without stopping. This project can also cost Rs 600 to 700 crore. Right now the work of planning and budget making is going on for this project. It is believed that by the end of the year 2025, work on this project can start and it will be completed in the next 3-4 years. The foundation stone of this project was laid by the then Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav during the tenure of the SP government in 2015-16. However, now work is being started on it again.
Other elevated road projects are also underway
Work is also underway on many other elevated road projects in Noida at this time.

Know what will be the benefit
With the construction of elevated roads, travel time will be reduced. Earlier, when it used to take 30-40 minutes to get stuck in a traffic jam, now the journey can be completed in 10-15 minutes. There will be freedom from red lights due to which one can reach Sector-57 directly without interruption. Pollution will also be reduced because due to fewer traffic jams, less fuel will be burnt by vehicles and pollution will also start reducing. Connectivity of industrial areas will improve and it will become easier to reach major industrial sectors of Noida. This elevated road will further strengthen the infrastructure of Noida and provide a better experience to the passengers. This project will be no less than a relief for the people troubled by the problem of traffic jam. Now it remains to be seen when the work on this project will start and by when it will be completed.
