Greater Noida West: On June 16, 2024, the control panel of the DG (Diesel Generator) set at Casa Greens Society was stolen. A report was lodged by the builder’s security team at the Cherry County Police Outpost. However, no FIR has been registered to date, and the matter remains under investigation.

Despite the passage of a week, the builder has failed to arrange a replacement control panel. As a result, residents were left without power backup during frequent electricity outages. This led to severe inconvenience, especially for children, elderly residents, and those with health issues, amid the ongoing intense heatwave.

Due to daily voltage fluctuations and tripping in power supply from NPCL (Noida Power Company Limited), residents have been facing power cuts lasting two to three hours. The lack of electricity has worsened health issues for many, as even basic appliances like fans could not function.

In protest, members of the Apartment Owners Association (AOA), along with several residents, staged a sit-in demonstration at the builder’s office in Sector 63 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM on 23rd June. The protest ended after the builder’s representatives assured that a new control panel would be installed by tomorrow evening and the DG set would be fully operational.

Residents have warned that if the issue is not resolved by the promised time, they will initiate legal proceedings against the builder.

Prominent individuals who participated in the protest and meeting include: Amit Saraswat, Mahesh Yadav, Anupama Mishra, Dr. Maqsood Ahmad, Maya Shankar Srivastava, Rohit Singh, Rahul Rajput, Sanjeev Kumar, Sushil Saxena, Deepak Gupta.
