Noida : To curb road accidents in the entire UP including Noida, the Yogi government implemented the order of ‘No helmet, no fuel’ in January. But just after 1 month of its implementation, the order is being flouted.
One is from the petrol pump located in Sector 12 of Noida and the other picture is from the petrol pump in front of Sector 57. Where petrol is being given in large quantities to bikers without helmets.
DM Instructed Petrol Pumps to be under cctv survillance
Gautam Buddha Nagar DM Manish Kumar Verma had instructed all petrol pump operators not to give diesel and petrol to two-wheeler drivers without helmets. All petrol pumps should always be under the surveillance of CCTV cameras so that in case of any dispute, necessary decisions can be taken with the help of CCTV footage.
Why the rule of no helmet fuel?
Often people ignore traffic rules while driving and drive at speed, without seat belts and helmets which costs their lives. To curb deaths in road accidents, a system of no helmet, no petrol and no reflector no petrol has been implemented. Under the Motor Vehicles Act, the driver and the passenger must wear a helmet while travelling on a two-wheeler. Driving a two-wheeler without a helmet is a crime. It can attract a punishment of up to six months imprisonment.
