Noida : A meeting of the members of Gautam Buddh Nagar Vikas Samiti was held in Sector 2 of Greater Noida West, on April 20, 2025 in which the basic problems of the area were discussed in detail. The objective of the meeting was to give suggestions to the concerned authorities for improving civic amenities and to prepare a strategy for their solution.

Need for a government hospital

The members of this samiti say that there is not even a single fully equipped government hospital in a rapidly growing population area like Greater Noida West. The committee took this issue seriously and demanded the immediate establishment of a fully equipped government hospital in the area.

Arbitrariness and looting of private hospitals

The residents of the area are facing arbitrary fees and excessive charges by private hospitals in the name of treatment. The committee said that until the government health infrastructure is not built, the administration should monitor private hospitals and give instructions for price control.

Feeder bus and local bus services

Despite repeated requests, feeder and local bus services have not been started in Greater Noida West. Due to this, people are facing great difficulty in reaching the metro or other areas.

Increasing traffic and need for speed breakers

Traffic pressure is increasing rapidly in the area. The demand for speed breakers and signal system was reiterated to prevent accidents.

Demand for foot-over bridge

Recently a security guard died while crossing the road, which highlights the serious flaws in the road safety system. The committee talked about giving priority to the need for foot-over bridges on busy roads.

Problems of cycle track, STP, water harvesting, drain cleaning and public toilets were also raised prominently in the meeting and it was decided to ensure action for early resolution of all these issues.

Many active members including President Rashmi Pandey, Secretary Anoop Kumar Soni, Vice President Himanshu Rajput, Garima Srivastava, Arun Saraswat, Aniket, Rajni, Akanksha, Amit were present in the meeting.

The members of the committee said that they will continue to raise every issue related to public interest on every platform until a permanent solution to the problems is found.
