The sanitation workers and security personnel have not received their salaries for several months. Due to this, the livelihood of the sanitation workers is facing a lot of trouble. People have not received money for about 3 months.
Mahagun Builder accused of exploitation
The sanitation workers say that due to not getting a salary for three months, they are facing a lot of difficulty in living. They are taking loans from people and raising their children. Mahagun Builder is exploiting them. We are very upset because of Mahagun Builder. We cried, we pleaded and we made complaints but there is no shame left in the eyes of the builder.
No money for children’s education
A woman on condition of anonymity says, “There is no earning member in my family. Some people used to get money for doing cleaning work in the society, but we have not received that for 3 months. Now, there is a lot of trouble in such a situation.”
‘Shortage of food in the house’
Another woman adds, “There is a shortage of food in the house and no money left for the children’s education. We complained about this to the builder’s people, but no one cared. On the contrary, we are threatened with dismissal from the job. Where should we go in such a situation? No one is ready to listen to us.“
