Noida: Despite a long wait of 16 years, about 17 thousand home buyers of Jaypee Infratech Limited are still waiting for their dream of homes to be fulfilled. On Saturday, April 26, 2025, a large number of buyers demonstrated outside the Jaypee Infratech office in Sector-128 and expressed their displeasure.

in 2010 we booked flats in 150 residential towers and we were promised possession by 2013-14. Most buyers have even paid the EMI of the loan and have also paid the full price of the flat, but have not got the house to date.

Responisblity handovered to Surakhsha group after Jaypee Infratech declared bankrupt

As per the information, after Jaypee Infratech was declared bankrupt, NCLT handed over the responsibility of construction of incomplete projects to ‘Suraksha Group’. At the time of the handover of the scheme in May 2024, it was promised that construction work would be started in 3-4 months. But even by April 2025, construction work has not started in most of the towers.

At present, construction work is going on in 62 towers of Cosmos, Classic, Kensington Boulevard, Kensington Park Apartments and Heights projects, which have 6,067 buyers associated with them. However, work is yet to start in 15 towers of Cosmos and Kensington Boulevard.

Buyers allege that where 12,000 workers were needed for construction, only 2,000 workers are working, due to which the project is almost stalled. Funding of Rs 3,000 crore has also not been arranged yet.
