Noida: Some schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar district had received threats of bombing. The police have immediately started action in this matter. The school management had lodged a complaint at the police station regarding sending fake mail to 4 schools under the Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate. After this, a case was registered at police station Sector 126. The minor who sent the fake mail has been identified by the local police and cyber team in just 12 hours. Further action is being taken in this matter.
On Wednesday, February 05, 2025, many schools in Noida received bomb threats. After which the school administration informed the police about it. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started an investigation. The schools which have been threatened include Mayur School and Heritage School. Now the situation is normal everywhere. Classes have resumed in many schools.
Bomb Squad conducted investigation
As soon as the information about the bomb was received, the Noida Police team reached the spot and started a detailed investigation. Police, fire brigade and bomb squad reached the schools and took the students to safe places as a precaution. No objectionable object was found in any school during the investigation. The bomb squad and other senior officers investigated the schools.
These schools received threats
After Step by Step School, The Heritage School, Gyanshree School and Mayur School received bomb threats through spam email, all the places were immediately investigated by various police teams, bomb squads, fire brigades, dog squads and BDDS teams. The situation is normal in all places. Classes have started again in many schools. The email is being investigated by the cyber team. Police say that the public is requested not to pay attention to rumours and maintain patience.
Noida Zone ADCP Sumit Kumar Shukla informed that all four schools received threats via email at around 8:30 am. It had written about taking revenge by killing children and other types of threats. It had Urdu words about taking revenge by killing children. The management of Step by Step School immediately informed the police after seeing the email. While the parents were informed by The Heritage School management. Hearing this, the parents were shocked. Everyone reached the school to pick up their children. The ADCP says that in the investigation of about 2 hours, no objectionable object was found inside the four schools. He further said that the local police and cyber team have identified the minor who sent the fake mail. Legal action is being taken as per the rules.
