Greater Noida CEO’s new plan: The size of roundabouts will be reduced to get relief from traffic jams, work will start from the West

Greater Noida West: Keeping in mind the increasing problem of traffic jams in Greater Noida, the authority has taken a critical step. It has been selected to reduce the size of roundabouts located on the main routes of the city. This plan has been started from Itehda roundabout of Greater Noida West.

Preparation to reduce traffic pressure on major routes

In this regard, instructions have been given to the charge of all work circles. Authority officials said that along with reducing the size of roundabouts, the main roads are also being widened. Work is being done on priority, especially on those routes, which connect Noida International Airport to Greater Noida and Greater Noida West. Due to the increasing population in the city and expansion of urban areas, the traffic pressure on the roads has increased rapidly. Due to this pressure, long traffic jams have become a common problem, especially the residents of Greater Noida West have to face more trouble due to this.

Work started on the 130-meter-wide road

The authority has focused special attention on the 130-meter-wide road. This road has the highest vehicular traffic and it is a major route connecting Noida International Airport to the city. The problem of jams increases due to the large roundabouts located on the road. In such a situation, the size of all the roundabouts on this 27 km long road will be reduced. Also, under the road widening, work is going on at a fast pace in the industrial areas Ecotech-10 and Ecotech-11. Apart from this, a separate bus-way is also being constructed on the 130-meter wide road.

Further plan based on a survey

On the instructions of the CEO, the project department of the authority is identifying those places on the main roads. Where the problem of jams arises due to the high pressure of vehicles. Based on the survey, the size of other major roundabouts will also be reduced. After the commissioning of Noida International Airport, the pressure on vehicles in the city is likely to increase further. Keeping this in mind, the authority has prioritised the work of reducing the roundabouts to smaller sizes and widening the main roads.
