Good News: Greater Noida Authority sighed relief to the homebuyers

Greater Noida: In the 136th board meeting of Greater Noida Authority, a big decision was taken in favour of flat buyers. According to this decision, now the agreement will be registered only after paying 10 per cent of the total price of the flat. Earlier, the Yamuna Authority and Noida Authority had also taken the same decision. At the time of agreement to sell, the buyer will have to pay the stamp duty in full. And later, as soon as the flat is occupied, registration will be done on a stamp of Rs 100.

In the meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Authority and the Chief Secretary of the State Manoj Kumar Singh, decisions were taken on 28 proposals. In this, to protect the interests of the buyers, it has become necessary to register the builder-buyer agreement on payment of 10 per cent by the flat buyers. It was told in the meeting that this was being demanded by the buyers for a long time.

After permission to register the agreement, now the flat buyers will have a legal document. At the time of agreement to sell, the buyer will have to pay the entire stamp duty. Later, after getting possession of the flat, the registry will be done on a stamp of Rs 100.

Being a legal document, the builder will not be able to commit any kind of fraud. Along with this, the registry department will also get the stamp duty on time. Till now, the registry is done only after the total price of the flat is paid.
