Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Authority has intensified its campaign against the illegal display of posters, stickers and hoardings on public property, taking action against establishments accused of defacing the city’s infrastructure.

The action follows repeated demands by the Active Citizen Team, led by Harendra Bhati, which has consistently raised concerns over the growing number of unauthorised posters affecting the city’s appearance.

Four Establishments Issued Notices

According to the authority’s Urban Services Department, notices were issued on July 20, 2026, to four establishments for allegedly displaying posters without permission.

The establishments are:

  • Alpha Car Rental – Migsun Vilasa Market, ETA-2
  • Aakansh PG for Boys – A-10, Sector Beta-1
  • Bharat PG – C-293, Sector Beta-1
  • Boys PG – A-382, Sector Beta-1

Each establishment has been imposed a ₹2 lakh penalty for violating civic regulations related to unauthorised advertisements.

Authority Warns of Recovery Proceedings

The Greater Noida Authority has directed the establishments to deposit the penalty within one week. Officials warned that if the amount is not paid within the stipulated period, Recovery Certificate (RC) proceedings will be initiated to recover the dues.

The move is aimed at discouraging the defacement of public property and ensuring better compliance with civic rules.

Residents Welcome the Initiative

The Active Citizen Team welcomed the action, saying it reflects the authority’s commitment to maintaining the city’s cleanliness and aesthetic appeal.

The group appreciated the prompt action taken by Senior Manager Sunny Yadav and Mukesh Kumar Singh of the Urban Department and expressed hope that similar enforcement drives would continue in the future.

The team also urged residents and business owners to refrain from pasting posters or stickers on public property and appealed for collective efforts to keep Greater Noida clean and beautiful.

“A clean and beautiful city is everyone’s responsibility. Let us all pledge not to deface public property and contribute towards a better Greater Noida,” the team said.
