Noida: A student studying at Gautam Buddha University committed suicide in the hostel room. Police have also recovered a suicide note from the spot.
Mental stress became the reason for suicide
Initial investigation has revealed that the student was under mental pressure for some time. She took this step due to stress. As soon as the incident was reported, there was chaos in the university administration and hostel premises.

According to the information received, the deceased student was from Kanpur and in university, studying Political Science in Gautam Buddha University. She was a resident of Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh and was studying while living in the hostel. After taking the body in possession, the police immediately informed the relatives.
The family reached the spot, body left for Kanpur
On receiving information about the incident, the decesded’s family reached the university in Greater Noida late at night. On Sunday afternoon, after completion of all the legal formalities, the relatives left for Kanpur with the body.
Hostel took attendance twice daily
According to the university management, the attendance of students is recorded twice a day in the hostel. Her attendance was recorded during the day on Saturday, but she was found absent in the attendance at 8:30 pm. After this irregularity, the student’s room was searched and the incident came to light.
Police engaged in investigation
The Ecotech-1 police station police, which reached the spot, seized the suicide note from the student’s room and started an in-depth investigation of the case. The police is also questioning the student’s family and friends to clarify the reasons for the suicide.
