Noida: Residents have alleged serious irregularities in the recently held Apartment Owners Association (AOA) election in Gardenia Glory, Sector-46, Noida. Residents claim that 100 fake votes were cast in the election, which has raised questions over the credibility of the results. A complaint has been lodged with the Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate (DM).
The ballot serial number of the first voter was 101, while the presence of 355 voters was recorded, yet a total of 455 votes were cast. The ballot paper gave the winning panel serial numbers 1-10, while other candidates were given serial numbers 13-23, creating confusion. We demanded alphabetical order and this was ignored.

Attitude of election officer was partial
The attitude of the election officer (District Fisheries Officer, Ashish Maurya) was biased, and his staff was accused of influencing voters. Only the representative of the winning panel (GM of FMS) was allowed in the voting room, while others were stopped.
DM has taken the matter seriously, orders probe again Election Officer
Taking the matter seriously, DM Gautam Budh Nagar has directed ADM Finance to call for all the records from the Election Officer and investigate. The DM has ordered to register adverse entry against Ashish Maurya and not to appoint him in any AOA election in future.
In every election, complaints are received against the District Fisheries Officer, which raises questions on his credibility.
Manish Verma, District Magistrate
The purpose of our complaint is to ensure fairness and transparency. We want the list of ballot papers, counting of votes, and the process to be investigated. We demand everything should be investigated from process, voter list, to ballot serial number everything. Its all recorded in camera. We are ready to cooperate fully.
