Noida Extension : Galaxy Vega housing society has once again become a hotspot of resident-AOA conflict. In a meeting held on Sunday morning at the society amphitheatre, a large number of residents accused the current Apartment Owners Association (AOA) of adopting “dictatorial practices” and colluding with the builder.

The residents raised concerns over several decisions taken by the AOA and the builder, most notably:

Issuing notices to residents on behalf of the builder
Removing eligible residents’ names from the voter list
Including names of those who have not paid maintenance dues

Residents claim that these steps are intended to manipulate the outcome of the upcoming AOA elections, scheduled for 15 November 2025.

We pay maintenance on time, yet our voting rights are denied.

Several residents have pointed out that, despite making timely maintenance payments, their names have been unfairly removed from the voter list. Alleging a “systematic conspiracy”, the residents submitted a written complaint to the election officer demanding correction and restoration of voting rights.

According to residents, the current AOA’s tenure ended on January 6, 2025, and yet the committee continues to function “illegally”.

AOA started as our representative, but now it stands with the builder. Removing voters from the list just to influence elections is undemocratic.

Allegations of threats, intimidation and false complaints

Following the meeting, chaos escalated. Multiple residents claimed that some AOA officials:

Tried to intimidate and threaten vocal residents
Engaged in physical assault
Filed false and misleading police complaints at the Nirala Estate police chowki

This has reportedly created a tense and fearful atmosphere inside the society.

Call for administrative intervention

Residents are urging the district administration and RERA to step in immediately to:

Ensure a fair and transparent election process
Restore the names of all eligible voters
Prevent misuse of authority within the society

Maintenance payment put on hold

In a collective resolution, residents have decided to withhold maintenance payments until transparency and justice are ensured in the election process.
