Greater Noida West: A free health check-up and Ayushman Bharat registration camp organised at Casa Greens-1 in Greater Noida West has become the centre of a controversy after the event was reportedly disrupted midway. While members of the society’s senior citizens’ group have alleged that the camp was obstructed despite prior permissions, the Apartment Owners Association (AOA) has issued a clarification distancing itself from the event and raising concerns over transparency in its organisation.

Senior Citizens’ Group Alleges Disruption

According to a press statement issued by senior citizen representative Mahesh Yadav, the free medical camp was organised in collaboration with KDSG Hospital, Greater Noida West, to provide health check-ups and Ayushman Bharat registration services for residents, particularly senior citizens.

The organisers claimed that prior permission had been obtained from the maintenance department and that the AOA had been informed about the programme. They further stated that the AOA had also permitted the use of tables and chairs for the event.

However, shortly after the camp commenced, the organisers alleged that the AOA Secretary, accompanied by several other members, reached the venue and objected to the programme, claiming that AOA approval had not been obtained. According to the organisers, pressure was allegedly exerted on the maintenance and security staff to stop the camp, creating a tense situation at the clubhouse.

The organisers said that due to the disruption, the KDSG Hospital team decided to discontinue the camp, leaving many senior citizens, women and other residents unable to avail themselves of the healthcare services. 

They have demanded an impartial inquiry into the incident and measures to ensure that similar community welfare programmes are not disrupted in the future.

AOA Issues Clarification

Responding to the allegations, the Casa Greens-1 Apartment Owners Association issued a statement clarifying that the medical camp held on July 19, 2026, was organised solely by Mahesh Yadav in his personal capacity and that the event did not proceed as expected.

The AOA stated that its involvement was limited to providing two tables and ten chairs at the organiser’s request. It maintained that it had no role in organising, managing, financing or conducting the medical camp.

The association also raised concerns regarding financial transparency, stating that if any donations or monetary contributions related to the event were received in a personal account instead of the AOA’s authorised account, such a practice would not align with the principles of transparency and financial accountability. 

The AOA emphasised that maintaining residents’ trust requires complete transparency in such matters.

Differing Claims Await Clarity

The incident has drawn attention within the residential community, with residents expressing mixed reactions over the conflicting versions presented by the organisers and the AOA.

While the organisers have termed the disruption unfortunate and detrimental to community welfare, the AOA has reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability and the interests of residents, stating that it will continue to uphold these principles in all future activities.

As of now, no independent inquiry or official findings have been made public regarding the circumstances that led to the disruption of the medical camp.
