Noida: Tensions escalated at Eldeco Aamantran Society in Sector 119 on Sunday as a large number of residents gathered on the society premises and protested against former AOA office-bearers.
Residents said the protest was organised over alleged interference by former AOA members in the current AOA’s functioning. Residents raised slogans and demanded that the former office-bearers refrain from interfering in the current association’s work.
The protest later reached the homes of former AOA president Nitin Syal and the former secretary, where residents gathered and raised slogans. The situation led to a commotion in the society.
Residents alleged that they have repeatedly raised questions about various issues affecting the society, but their concerns have not been addressed. They said the protest was intended to seek answers from the AOA on these matters.
The current AOA office-bearers, however, maintained that they are managing the society’s affairs according to the prescribed rules. They denied any irregularity and alleged that members of the former AOA were unnecessarily creating hurdles in the functioning of the new AOA.
The face-off has highlighted the growing differences between the former AOA office-bearers and the current management. The dispute over the functioning of the association and pending residents’ concerns continues to remain a point of contention in the society.
