Noida: There is a lack of fire safety equipment in Baraat Ghar, which is located in different city sectors. DDRWA Federation has written a letter to Noida Authority CEO Dr Lokesh M regarding this issue. Federation President NP Singh and Senior Vice President Sanjeev Kumar have demanded immediate action.

the RWAs of Sector-11, 12, 19, 30, 33, 35, 41, 44, 46, 50, 51, 52, 53, 55, 56, 63A, 71 and 122 have raised this issue. Fire safety standards have not been taken care of while constructing this baraat ghar. There are neither emergency exit doors nor basic facilities like fire hydrants.

Demand for facilities
the authority has been asked to install essential facilities like fire extinguishers, emergency exits, stairs, smoke detectors, heat detectors and alarm systems. Along with this, there has also been a demand to provide necessary training to the employees for fire prevention.

The danger of huge loss of life: Sanjeev Kumar
Senior Vice President Sanjeev Kumar said that a crowd of 200 to 500 people gather in these baraat ghars for events like marriage. In the absence of safety equipment, there can be huge loss of life in case of an accident. He said that he has raised this issue many times before and now the authority should consider it seriously.
