Noida: Traffic in Noida is rising day by day. With the increasing traffic, one major problem has erupted and that is driving on the wrong side. This habit of saving time has destroyed the lives of many. Due to this, CONRWA has written a letter to the Superintendent of Traffic Police to take stringent action against those who drive vehicles on the wrong side.
From Iskcon temple to the elevated road, wrong side driving is seen everywhere
P. S. Jain, President, CONRWA says, ” Drivers drive vehicles on the wrong side on various roads of the city which results in blocking the roads and accidents every day. These scenes are common in Noida streets every day. Like on the elevated road, due to jams on both the loops in front of Iskcon temple and at the end of the elevated road, two-wheeler drivers drive their vehicles on the wrong side and get down the loop near Iskcon temple.”
Fear of terrible accidents every next minute
Due to wrong-side driving, there is always a fear of accidents for the vehicles moving in the right direction. Similarly, due to the flyover work going on in Sector 49, many people drive their vehicles on the wrong side every day. Similarly, this has become a daily routine in Sectors 71, 16, 63 etc.
Rules are violated every day
Traffic police issues challans to them daily but still these people violate these rules every day. In this regard, the organization suggests that strict action should be taken against such drivers as per the rules and a provision should be made to impose heavy fines. By doing this, drivers will be afraid to drive on the wrong side.
Impose heavy fines to avoid wrong-side driving
BB Valecha, Co Convenor, CONRWA suggests that a heavy fine must be imposed on the wrongdoer so that next time they do not repeat the mistake. Due to this, there will be no jams on the city roads and accidents will be controlled. Cameras should also be installed on these roads where traffic moves on the wrong side to stop them.
The CONRWA requests the traffic cell to make strict rules against those who drive on the wrong side of the roads and ensure that they are strictly followed.
