Greater Noida West : A shocking case of daylight robbery and assault has emerged from Amrapali Kingswood Golf Homes, raising alarming questions over the safety and security of residents within gated societies.

Elderly woman attacked and looted at home in Amrapali Kingswood Golf Homes, exposing gaps in surveillance and visitor verification systems.
Elderly woman attacked, Looted inside her home
The incident took place in the D1 tower, where an elderly woman was alone at home with a six-month-old infant. According to the family, an unidentified woman arrived at the doorstep under the pretext of domestic work and claimed that she had been sent by a family member.
Despite being initially refused entry, the accused insisted on inspecting the house. The moment the door was opened, she allegedly threw a chemical or intoxicating substance on the elderly woman’s face, causing her to lose consciousness instantly.
Taking advantage of the situation, the accused ransacked the house and fled with valuables, including jewellery such as a mangalsutra and other ornaments. Two rooms were completely disturbed, with beds overturned and belongings scattered.
The victim regains consciousness after an hour
The victim reportedly regained consciousness nearly an hour later after hearing the infant crying. Upon regaining awareness, the family was informed and a call was made to emergency helpline 112. Police arrived at the scene and initiated a preliminary investigation.
The resident, identified as Dharmendra Mishra, who, along with his wife Shreya, resides in flat D1-1404. Both are private sector employees. At the time of the incident, Dharmendra was in Uttarakhand while Shreya was in her office.
CCTV suspicion raises possibility of olanned crime
Speaking on the incident, resident Dharmendra Mishra said he had installed CCTV cameras in the house keeping security in mind, without anticipating such an incident.
The cameras were functional, but there is no recording of the accused woman entering the house or committing the crime. However, footage of his mother inside the house is clearly available.
Dharmendra Mishra, Victim
Mishra suspects that the accused was aware of the CCTV setup and may have deliberately disabled or bypassed the cameras during the robbery.
He further expressed suspicion that the crime may not have been carried out by a single individual.
The way the house was ransacked and the execution of the incident suggests involvement of more than one person. It appears to be the work of an organised group.
