Greater Noida West: In Ajnara Homes Society of Greater Noida West, the dispute between the maintenance team and residents regarding the power cut is increasing. Recently, there was a scuffle between a resident and the members of the maintenance team when electricity supply of a flat was cut. At the same time, it is alleged that even after paying in advance, the maintenance charge is being wrongly deducted from the prepaid meter.

According to the people, even after there is balance money in the prepaid meter, the maintenance charge is wrongly deducted from the prepaid meter. At the same time, it is alleged that even after receiving complaints from both parties, police took unilateral action and kept the victim in custody.
Residents acclaim that recently the maintenance management had started the process of collecting maintenance related charges from the prepaid meter through a new app. Through this app, arrangements were made to recharge the electricity meter and deposit the maintenance charge. However, there have been complaints of many irregularities in this process.
Anil Kumar Khokhar, a victim, says, “I had recharged my meter for Rs 5,500 on October 11, but my electricity was cut off on October 21. When I reached the maintenance office with this problem, the dispute escalated there.” During this, the matter turned into a heated argument with the management member. The police reached the spot explained to both the parties and pacified the matter.
On Friday, the electricity of Anil Khokhar’s flat was again cut off
This time the police was called, and both parties were taken to the police station. It is alleged that the police took unilateral action and kept Anil Kumar in custody for about 15 hours, while other residents of the society stood outside the police station in protest against this action. He was released on bail on Saturday morning.
Sangam Tripathi, Estate Manager reacted to the dispute and informed that resident Anil Kumar was not following the rules and he also assaulted the staff.
Manoj Kumar Chauhan, SHO, Bisrakh Kotwali says, “We will take cognizance of the matter and take necessary action.”
This matter is now causing growing anger in the society, and the residents have planned a protest against the police administration and management in this regard.
