Greater Noida West: Justice turned personal in Greater Noida West after an advocate was allegedly attacked by a woman during Durga Puja celebrations. The incident has triggered serious allegations and counter-allegations, raising questions about personal vendetta, unresolved disputes and law and order.
The victim, Ashutosh Srivastava, an advocate and tenant of Shri Radha Sky Garden, Greater Noida West, alleged that he was attacked by Priti Gupta, a former resident of the same society, during a Durga Puja event on October 9, 2024.
Advocate Alleges Pre-Planned Attack
According to Ashutosh Srivastava, the accused woman had illegally occupied a flat in Radha Sky Garden several years ago. He claims he assisted the landlord in getting the flat vacated through legal means, following which she began harbouring hostility towards him.
After the flat was vacated through a legal process, she started considering me her enemy and eventually attacked me during Durga Puja,” Srivastava alleged.

Ashutosh further stated that he had been invited to a Durga Puja event at Tikona Park, Tech Zone-4, where he was being felicitated.
While I was enjoying the festivities with friends, she suddenly came from behind and attacked me with dandiya sticks. Shockingly, the sticks were made of iron, not wood.

Srivastava sustained injuries to his hands, legs and chest and is currently undergoing treatment at CHC Bisrakh.
Dismissing allegations of any personal dispute, he stated:
I have no personal enmity with her. The attack was purely because I helped the landlord reclaim his flat.

When contacted, Priti Gupta, the accused, admitted to attacking the advocate but claimed it was driven by long-standing injustice.
“My mardani mode is active. This is my fight against wrongdoers. If the police don’t help, I will take matters into my own hands, I feel justified in my actions.

Counter-Allegations Against Advocate
Gupta alleged that Srivastava had harassed her for years and was responsible for her eviction.
“If he has nothing personal against me, why was he so desperate to throw me out? He followed me for years after a religious event in our society. When I did not respond, things escalated.

She further claimed she intends to take the matter to court and has documentary evidence to support her claims.

Gupta alleged that she and her minor son were harassed and victimised.
He harassed me mentally and physically and even attacked my four-year-old son,just because of all this, I am unable to live peacefully in Noida due to these events.
