Greater Noida : Residents of C-Block in Sector XU-3, Greater Noida, have urged the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) to address sanitation issues in the area ahead of Diwali. Gulshan Kumar, treasurer of the C-Block Residents Welfare Association (RWA), has written to GNIDA CEO NG Ravi Kumar, requesting the immediate removal of heaps of dry leaves and garbage lying along roadsides. In his letter dated November 5, he stated that the accumulated waste had not been properly cleared through tractors or sanitation vehicles since Dussehra.
The association has expressed concern over the growing piles of dry leaves, which not only affect the cleanliness and appearance of the residential area but also pose a potential fire hazard. With Diwali approaching, unattended dry leaves could catch fire, increasing the risk of air pollution and accidental incidents. The RWA has highlighted the need to ensure proper sanitation, particularly during the festive season when cleanliness is a priority.
The RWA has requested the GNIDA CEO to deploy additional tractors and sanitation workers to remove the accumulated waste at the earliest. It has also urged the authority to ensure thorough cleaning across the entire C-Block before Diwali. The association believes that timely intervention by GNIDA will help residents celebrate the festival in a cleaner and safer environment.
