Noida: ISKCON Noida celebrated Sri Radhashtami with devotion and spiritual fervour at Govind Dham on Saturday, September 19, bringing together a large number of devotees for a day of prayers, kirtans and traditional rituals.

The temple was specially decorated for the occasion, creating a festive atmosphere as devotees gathered to mark the appearance day of Srimati Radharani, revered in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition as the eternal consort of Lord Krishna.

Special abhishek of Sri Sri Radha-Krishna

One of the key highlights of the celebrations was the special abhishek of Sri Sri Radha-Krishna. The ceremonial bathing was performed with Panchagavya, including milk, curd and ghee, along with honey, fruit juices and flowers.

The rituals were accompanied by devotional bhajans and kirtans, with the temple premises resonating with chants and prayers.

The celebrations at ISKCON Noida were organised as a special devotional gathering for Sri Radhashtami. The festival offered devotees an opportunity to participate in traditional worship, devotional singing and community prayers at Govind Dham.

Sri Radhashtami is observed every year as the appearance day of Srimati Radharani and holds special significance for devotees of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition.

The celebrations concluded with prasadam distribution among devotees, marking the occasion with a message of devotion, prayer and spiritual togetherness.
