Residents’ issues discussed at CONRWA meeting
The meeting, held at 11 am, focused on several civic issues concerning Noida residents and the functioning of the Noida Authority. Members raised concerns over commercial activities being permitted on residential plots located along the 24-metre roads. They discussed the difficulties such activities can create for nearby residents as well as people using the surrounding roads.
The issue of residential buildings being used entirely for paying guest (PG) accommodation was also discussed. Members highlighted the problems they said residents face due to the operation of PGs in residential areas. The deteriorating condition of roads across Noida was another key issue raised during the meeting. Members expressed concern over the lack of action despite complaints about damaged roads.
The participants also discussed what they described as a lack of cooperation from Noida Authority officials towards sector representatives. The alleged attitude of some officials towards elected and resident representatives was also raised during the meeting.
