Sector 51 RWA Celebrates Independence Day With Patriotic Fervour At Children’s Park

Noida: The Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector 51, Noida, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at the Children’s Park on August 15, 2026.

The programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag by RWA President Anil Prakash Ranhotra, along with children from the sector. Residents, RWA members and employees gathered at the park to participate in the celebrations.

Addressing the gathering, RWA President Anil Prakash Ranhotra highlighted the significant initiatives undertaken by the association for the welfare and development of Sector 51. He also outlined the areas of work planned for the coming period to further improve facilities and promote the overall development of the sector.

Following the flag hoisting, RWA members, residents and employees paid tribute to the National Flag by singing the National Anthem.

This year’s celebrations also featured a special rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’, marking 150 years of the national song. The song was included in the official programme for the first time as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

RWA General Secretary Sanjeev Kumar remembered the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and highlighted their contribution to nation-building. He called upon residents to uphold their legacy by contributing actively to the progress and development of the country.

RWA Vice-President Pawan Kumar Sharma extended Independence Day greetings to all citizens and residents and urged everyone to play an active role in the nation’s development.

The programme concluded on a patriotic note with slogans of “Jai Hind, Jai Bharat, Vande Mataram.”
