Sector 19 RWA Celebrates 80th Independence Day With Grand Community Event

Noida: The Sector 19 Residents Welfare Association (RWA) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with a grand community programme on August 15, 2026, with a large number of residents participating in the celebrations.

The event began with the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by the singing of the national song and national anthem. Residents came together to honour the freedom fighters whose sacrifices laid the foundation of India’s independence.

Addressing the gathering, RWA President R.C. Gupta and General Secretary Laxmi Narayan spoke about the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and the country’s progress after independence under the Constitution. They also highlighted the development and resident welfare initiatives undertaken by the RWA team in Sector 19 over the past year.

The programme also recognised the achievements of talented students from the sector. Meritorious students and children who delivered outstanding cultural performances were honoured with trophies and certificates of appreciation.

RWA Joint Secretary Vijendra Gupta conducted the programme.

Several members and residents contributed to the successful organisation of the event, including Raj Kumar Chauhan, Sameer Sur, M.L. Pratap, D.C. Maheshwari, Urja Dutt Sharma, Rajesh Gulati, D.S. Rawat, S. Krishna Kumar, R.K. Pratham, Kaushal Kishore, Savita Mehta, Harjeet Manchanda and V.S. Chauhan, among others.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by RWA Treasurer Ram Kumar Sharma, who expressed gratitude to all residents and members for their participation and support in making the Independence Day celebration a success.
