Noida: The long-awaited development work on incomplete roads in the SB Block of Sector-117, Noida, has finally commenced after years of delay due to land-related disputes. The Noida Authority has initiated construction work on the pending road stretches, bringing relief to residents who had been facing difficulties due to poor connectivity and incomplete infrastructure.
The unfinished roads had not only affected daily movement within the sector but had also created hurdles in the possession process of several 5% category plots, causing inconvenience to all affected allottees.
RWA’s Continuous Efforts Lead to Progress
The Sector-117 Residents Welfare Association (RWA) had been continuously coordinating with the Noida Authority and concerned farmers to resolve the disputes, facilitate appropriate compensation and ensure that construction work on the pending roads could begin at the earliest.
As a result of these sustained efforts, construction work for three incomplete road stretches along with drain development has now started in the dispute-free areas.
Formal Inauguration of Construction Work
At the commencement ceremony, Advocate Kosinder Yadav, President of RWA Sector-117, formally inaugurated the work by breaking a coconut in the presence of the Noida Authority contractor and project team.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the start of construction marks an important achievement for Sector-117 residents. He added that efforts will continue to resolve the remaining disputed portions with the cooperation of all stakeholders so that all pending roads can be completed and affected plot owners can receive relief.
Residents and RWA Members Attend Ceremony
The inauguration event was attended by RWA office-bearers and prominent residents, including Harsh Mohan Jakhmola, Ajay Garg, Mukesh Tyagi, Ravindra Khandelwal, Mithilesh Gupta, Piyush and others.
The RWA expressed hope that the completion of these infrastructure projects will improve connectivity, enhance basic amenities and provide long-awaited relief to residents of Sector-117.
