
Noida : Under the banner of Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha” (Road Safety – Life Protection), a special helmet distribution and road safety awareness program was organised by YSS Foundation in Sector-62, Noida. The initiative was conducted as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility effort with the support of Gebr. Pfeiffer India Pvt. Ltd..
Road safety is everyone’s responsibility
The Managing Director of the company, Gyanesh Damodar Wanjale, emphasised that road safety is not solely the responsibility of the government but a collective duty of every citizen. Highlighting the alarming rise in road accidents, company official Anil Jain pointed out that many serious injuries among two-wheeler riders occur due to the non-use of helmets.

Police participation and awareness session
The program was conducted under the guidance of the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate. Senior officers participated in the event and addressed employees and local residents on the importance of following traffic rules.

Experts and police officials elaborated on critical issues such as:
- Over-speeding
- Drunk driving
- Mandatory use of seat belts
- Compulsory helmet usage for two-wheeler riders
The session focused on building a culture of responsible driving and preventive safety measures.
Free helmet distribution and safety pledge
As part of the campaign, free helmets were distributed to needy vehicle riders. All participants were administered a pledge to practice safe driving and adhere strictly to traffic norms.
The primary objective of the campaign is to increase helmet usage, reduce road accidents and promote a responsible driving culture in society.

The event saw active involvement from Road Safety In-Charge Shreya Sharma of YSS Foundation’s 7X Welfare Team and Vikram Sethi, who played significant roles in coordinating the program. Other prominent participants included Road Safety In-charge Kapil Dhama, Sunita Singh, Surjeet Singh, Durga Prasad Dubey, Vikram Sethi, and Pankaj Mishra, along with company employees and local citizens who actively participated in the awareness drive.
