Distinguished presence and energetic anchoring
The programme was graced by the chief guest Ravi Negi, MLA from Patparganj, Delhi. The event was smoothly anchored keeping the audience engaged throughout the celebrations.
Cultural highlights steal the show
The main attraction of the evening was the traditional Dholi Yatra of Maa Nanda-Sunanda Devi, where women dressed in authentic hill attire participated with devotion and enthusiasm. The cultural performances showcased the essence of Uttarakhand through the Chholiya dance, the rhythmic beats of the dhol-damau and soulful folk songs that captivated the audience.
Taste of Uttarakhand draws huge crowds
The food section added to the festive charm with an authentic Uttarakhand spread, including traditional thali, mandua momos, jhangora kheer, hill-sourced dals and dedicated Uttarakhand stalls, which remained a major attraction throughout the event.
Inclusive celebration and children at the centre
One of the most remarkable aspects of the festival was the active participation of non-Uttarakhandi residents who embraced the culture with respect and enthusiasm. Over 150 children presented delightful performances on Uttarakhand folk songs and were warmly felicitated by the committee.
For the first time at 11th Avenue, large-scale arrangements for children, including refreshments and mementos were made, reflecting meticulous planning and collective effort by the 14-member executive body and the Uttarakhand Committee.
Looking ahead
Committee founders Ashish Bisht and Kavita Pandey expressed gratitude to the residents for their overwhelming support and stated that with continued cooperation, future cultural events would be organised on an even grander scale.
The successful conclusion of Vasantotsav–II reaffirmed 11th Avenue’s spirit of unity, cultural harmony and community celebration.
