Greater Noida: Greater Noida Authority’s Sewer Department carried out an on-ground inspection and initiated sewer cleaning operations in Sector Beta-1 on Thursday to address long-pending sewer-related issues faced by residents.
Senior Manager of the Sewer Department, Sunny Yadav, along with Manager Sandhya and Junior Engineer Riyazuddin, visited the area and reviewed the situation firsthand. During the inspection, pressure machines, tanker units, and mechanized cleaning equipment were deployed. The sewer line cleaning work began at C Block.
Speaking on the occasion, RWA President Sangeeta Sharma stated that residents across the sector had been facing severe inconvenience due to persistent sewer problems. She expressed confidence that the issues would now be resolved as soon as possible and normal sewer operations would be restored.
RWA General Secretary Harendra Bhati explained that damage to the sewer line had led to heavy accumulation of waste, causing disruption in the flow of sewage. He informed that the Sewer Department is currently carrying out mechanized cleaning of the sewer lines, while additional cleaning work is also being undertaken in the internal lanes with the deployment of six sanitation workers.
Residents and the RWA have extended their sincere gratitude to the Greater Noida Authority for responding promptly and initiating corrective measures to resolve the sewer crisis in the sector.
