Noida: A serious case of cyber harassment has come to light in Noida, where a nurse working at a private hospital allegedly became a victim of revenge porn after ending a relationship with her colleague. According to the police, the victim, a resident of Jharkhand, was employed as a General Duty Assistant (GDA) at a private hospital in the Phase 3 police station area. During her employment, she developed a friendship with a hospital co-worker identified as Raghuveer. Over time, the friendship reportedly turned into a romantic relationship.
Photos taken during the relationship
Police said that during the course of the relationship, the accused obtained several personal photographs of the nurse. After some time, the woman decided to return to Jharkhand to live with her husband, a decision that reportedly angered the accused.
Threats and defamation allegations
The victim alleged that Raghuveer tried to stop her from returning to her husband and threatened to defame her when she refused. When she did not comply, the accused allegedly shared her objectionable photographs on social media platforms.
Mental and social trauma
Following the circulation of the photos, the nurse began receiving calls from acquaintances, which alerted her to the incident. The viral images caused her severe mental distress and social embarrassment.
FIR registered, Investigation underway
The victim has filed a complaint at the Phase-3 police station. Police officials confirmed that an FIR has been registered against the accused colleague under relevant sections, and a detailed investigation is currently underway. Police have assured that strict action will be taken against the accused based on the findings of the investigation.
