Greater Noida West: Discontent is brewing in Gaur City as residents prepare to stage a peaceful protest on Friday evening against the township management’s recent decision to restrict access to community parks after 7:30 PM. The protest will be held at Radha Krishna Park at 7:30 PM, with participation expected from families, senior citizens, and various resident groups.
According to residents, the township management has unilaterally imposed early closure timings across all parks, including Dada Dadi Park, Lake View Park and Radha Krishna Park. Despite multiple requests and representations, residents claim that the management has refused to reconsider the timing restrictions.
Community members argue that the decision severely impacts those who rely on the parks for evening walks, fitness, and relaxation, particularly during winters when daylight hours are shorter. Working professionals and senior citizens say the 7:30 PM deadline has made it nearly impossible for them to use these spaces.
Calling the move “unjust and arbitrary,” residents are demanding that the park timings be extended to 10 PM during the winter months. Organisers of the protest have urged residents to gather in large numbers to assert their right to shared community resources.
Special appeals have also been issued to AOA members, active citizen groups, Samitis and non-registered community organisations to participate and support the common cause. The protest aims to draw attention to what residents describe as an avoidable restriction that affects the daily lives and well-being of thousands living in Gaur City.
