Noida: The Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) Kalyan Mahasamiti, Sector 22, has intensified its efforts to address long-pending civic and regulatory concerns. On Friday, September 19, 2025, a six-member delegation from the association, led by RWA President Vijay Singh, met with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and submitted a detailed memorandum highlighting the key demands of the residents. The delegation also handed over a letter of support from the local Member of Parliament to strengthen their case.

The meeting, which was conducted in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, focused on two major issues:

1. Withdrawal of Section 10 Notice – The RWA requested that the recently issued notice under Section 10 be revoked, arguing that it was creating unnecessary pressure and hardship for residents.

2. Approval of Revised Building Height Norms – The delegation demanded that the permissible height for residential buildings be revised in line with policies in neighboring cities. They proposed approval of 15 meters (17.5 meters including stilt parking) for residential structures, similar to the norms already adopted in Delhi and Ghaziabad. This, they said, would bring parity and provide relief to homeowners and builders alike.

During the discussions, the CEO patiently heard all points raised by the delegation and acknowledged the concerns of the residents. He assured them that the administration would take up the matter seriously and initiate the process of framing a suitable policy. The CEO further assured that once a final decision is taken, the RWA would be duly informed, ensuring transparency in communication.

The residents of Sector-22 have long been demanding clarity and fairness in building norms. Today’s meeting with the CEO has given us hope that our issues will finally be addressed in a time-bound manner.

Vijay Singh, RWA President

The RWA expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament for extending support and to the CEO for his positive approach during the meeting. Residents believe that the acceptance of their demands will not only resolve immediate concerns but also set a precedent for fair and consistent policies across Noida.
