Noida: The Greenarch Apartment Owners’ Association (AOA) has removed its secretary, Priyanka Rai, from her position following allegations of serious irregularities, including forgery, misconduct, and violation of society bylaws.
According to an official communication issued by AOA President Pawan Kumar Choudhary, the management was compelled to take this step due to repeated violations of the Uttar Pradesh Apartment Act, 2010, and the society’s bye-laws.
Key allegations
Proxy Representation: Despite repeated reminders, secretary Priyanka Rai allegedly allowed her husband, Nitesh Rai, to attend AOA meetings on her behalf. The post of secretary is a personally elected responsibility, and such delegation is against the rules.
Forged Signatures: It was found on several occasions that Nitesh Rai signed documents on behalf of the secretary. These forged signatures have been termed a “serious offence” affecting the transparency and credibility of the management.
Misconduct and Abuse: The secretary’s husband was also accused of using inappropriate language and showing misconduct towards AOA members, including the president, which was seen as a violation of the code of conduct.
Administrative Intervention: The matter has been formally reported to the District Registrar (DR), who has assured us of strict action. Legal proceedings are also being initiated against those found guilty.
AOA’s Decision
Secretary Priyanka Rai has been removed with immediate effect.
Interim responsibility of the secretary has been handed over to the AOA president, Pawan Kumar Choudhary, until a new secretary is elected in the upcoming general body meeting.
All official communications and decisions will now be issued only by the president.
Disciplinary and legal procedures have been initiated against the alleged forgery and misconduct.
The AOA has appealed to all residents to maintain unity, dignity, and collective progress of the Greenarch Society.
