Noida : The lanes of Sector 119 came alive with the colours of the tricolour on Saturday evening as residents and BJP members joined hands to take out a spirited Tiranga Yatra.
The yatra, filled with the beats of patriotic songs and the fluttering of countless flags, saw BJP District President Mahesh Chauhan walking shoulder-to-shoulder with the people. Alongside him were Mandal President Ram Kishan Yadav, Mandal Mahamantri Namita Chaube, Mantri Kapil Mehra, Shiv Mohan, Arun Basoya, Desh Raj, Mantri Updesh Tiwari, T.K. Bhati, Sachin Rana, and Ashok Rai.
The Tiranga Yatra is organised in the days leading up to Independence Day to honour the national flag, recall the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and instil a sense of unity and patriotism among citizens. It serves as both a tribute to the past and a reminder of the responsibilities that come with freedom.
Families, children, and senior citizens stepped out of their homes to join the march, many draped in the national colours.
It’s not just a celebration; it’s a reminder of the unity that binds us as a nation.

As the yatra moved through the streets, chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” echoed in the air, making it not just a political gathering but a community celebration of India’s spirit and independence.
