Noida: More than 350,000 people are about to get employment opportunities in the service and production sectors in Noida within the next two years. This opportunity will be provided under the Prime Minister’s India Developed Employment Scheme (ELI), which will start on August 1, 2025.First salary will be given by the Central Government.
Under this scheme, employees who will generate their UAN number in EPFO for the first time will receive their first salary (maximum ₹15,000) from the government in two installments.
This will provide direct economic benefits to new employees.
Employers will also get incentives
Not only employees, but employers will also receive incentives under the scheme. This facility will encourage them to hire new people.
The Department of Industries and EPFO are jointly running a campaign. To make this scheme successful, the District Industries and Entrepreneurship Promotion Center and the Employees’ Provident Fund Office (EPFO) are running an awareness campaign together. Both are providing information about the scheme to employers and employees. Priority is for the service and manufacturing sector. Only the service sector and manufacturing sector are included under this scheme. There are approximately 60,000 service sector companies and about 30,000 manufacturing units in Noida.
Conditions for minimum employment have been set. Companies with more than 50 employees must employ at least 5 new people. Meanwhile, units with less than 50 employees must hire at least 2 new employees.
Awareness workshop on July 31 at Ecotech-12 An awareness workshop will be held on July 31 at Ecotech-12 for the promotion and dissemination of information about the scheme. EPFO officials, company operators, and other representatives will participate.
