Women adorn themselves with traditional attire, intricate mehendi, jewellery, and flowers not just as a display of festivity, but as a symbolic act of devotion, love, and prosperity. This act of self-decoration is deeply rooted in Indian customs, representing joy, fertility, and the desire for familial happiness.
