Ghaziabad: Given the holy month of Sawan and Kanwar Yatra festival, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has made a strict arrangement for cleanliness. Cleaning workers will work round the clock in three shifts. Kawar camp organizers have also been appealed to cooperate in the cleanliness system. Vikramaditya Singh Malik, Municipal Commissioner has instructed the Health Department to pay special attention to the cleanliness system.
Monitoring is being done on Kanwar Yatra routes
Orders have been issued to keep meat, fish and egg carts and shops closed on the Kanwar Yatra route and around the temples within the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation limits. All non-veg shops have been banned till August 3. Additional Municipal Commissioner Arun Kumar Yadav said that continuous monitoring is being done on the designated Kanwar Yatra route to comply with the instructions of the Municipal Commissioner. Along with making the Kanwar Yatra routes organized and beautiful, special care is also being taken to ensure that no meat or fish shops or carts are set up nearby. Meat and fish shops and carts will be banned from 21st July to 3rd August.
Action will be taken if meat and fish are sold during the ban
If any kind of meat or fish is found being sold during the ban, strict legal action will be taken against the person concerned as per the rules. Zonal in-charges under all five zones will also assist the sanitation inspectors and the sanitation system around the temples and the sanitation system of the Kanwar camps will be improved. It will also be monitored that no meat or fish shops are set up on the Kanwar Yatra route.
