Man’s sister’s photos morphed, viral
A similar case has come to light from Greater Noida’s police station Beta-2 area. For not paying the loan instalment, the young man’s sister’s morphed photos were made viral and he was blackmailed.
What is the whole matter?
Saloni (fictitious name), resident of Greater Noida, informed the police in her complaint that on the afternoon of July 4, her morphed picture was sent to her WhatsApp number from an unknown number.
After this, a message was sent on WhatsApp that this was her real picture and it would be sent to all the people in her contact list. When she did not respond to the message, calls started coming from the said number.
On picking up her phone, the unknown youth started talking dirty to her and threatened that he would make her morphed photo viral on social media. The caller said that her brother has taken a loan from App Loan and has not paid its installment. If 10500 is not paid, then her obscene pictures will be sent to all the people in her contact list. After she disconnected the call, the said person started sending her brother’s profile pictures on her WhatsApp.

When she did not respond, the said person put her morphed picture on DP as his profile picture and messaged that now the whole of India would see this photo of her.
After this, he messaged and asked for the amount of 10500 and said that he would remove the DP after getting the money. According to Saloni, when she talked to her brother about this, he told her that someone had tampered with her photo and money is also being demanded from him.
Saloni immediately complained about this to the police and cyber cell. On the complaint of the victim, Beta-2 police station has registered a case against an unknown person under various sections. Police is searching for the said person based on the phone number.
