Noida: Conrwa, the oldest social organization in Noida, has demanded the introduction of an urban transport service in the city. The organization has written a letter which states that there are more than 150 sectors in Noida, out of which 100 sectors are residential and their mutual distance is about 30 kilometres. But there is no such park and ride service in the city through which travel from one sector to another can be done easily. The organization has sent this letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Durga Shankar Mishra.
What did Conrwa write in the letter?
The organization informed Apartment Times that travelling becomes easy with the metro, but the real struggle is in reaching the metro station. Citizens have to depend on auto, e-rickshaw or app-based cab services to reach their destination, which is quite expensive. DTC and private buses also operate in the city, but their routes are limited and they do not cover all the sectors. The organization believes that in a developed city like Noida, it is very important to have a public transport system, which has access to every sector and provides the facility to go to any sector. He said that the absence of a public transport system by the Noida Development Authority till now is a hindrance in the recognition of being called a developed city, especially when it is a big industrial hub, where foreign companies are also located.
The organisation’s suggestion to the government and the authority
The organization suggests that e-buses should be started in the city. The routes of these buses should be decided in such a way that they have access to all sectors and maximum citizens can take advantage of this facility. He has placed this demand before the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and Chairman of Noida Authority.
