Indirapuram: A massive fire broke out in a commercial complex of a residential society in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. Due to a fire in the generator, 4 flats got engulfed in it. The fire was so fierce that it engulfed even the transformer of the other society. 5 vehicles of the Fire Brigade reached the spot and after a lot of efforts the fire was controlled.
The generator exploded and 4 flats caught fire
A major accident was averted in the society in Ahimsakhand II. 4 flats caught fire due to a generator explosion in a society in Ghaziabad. The generator caught fire and then it blasted like a bomb. The fire was so fierce that it engulfed even the transformer of the other society.
No casualties
Fortunately, No one died in this blast. The fire was so dangerous that the entire area was covered and engulfed in smoke. Firefighters rescued lives risking their own lives.
Rahul Pal, Chief Fire Officer, Ghaziabad, says, “Fire Station Vaishali received information Arihant Harmony Society in Ahinsakhand-2 of Police Station Indirapuram, a fire has broken. Immediately 5 fire tankers along with firefighters were sent to the spot. On reaching the spot, the firefighters saw that the generator kept in the society was on fire. After this, it blasted due to which 4 flats in front of the generator caught fire.”
He continues, “In a quick response, the fire brigade personnel tried to control the fire by spreading the hose line from two sides and also evacuated all the people living in the flats behind. The fire was so fierce that it engulfed even the generator of the neighbouring society. After a lot of hard work, five fire engines controlled the fire after which took a long time.”
