Noida: Once again, Noida has registered its name in the Cleanliness Survey (Cleanliness Survey 2023) and for the first time has moved up one place and achieved a Water Plus Certificate. Apart from this, like last year, this time too it has achieved a star ranking as Garbage Free City. During this program on Friday, Noida Chief Executive Officer Lokesh. M received all the awards for the city from the Central Government. Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Puri honoured Noida in a program organized at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.
Apna Noida No. 1
Among these things, Apna Noida No. 1, the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has uploaded the information about the certificates given to the cities regarding cleanliness on its portal. Under this, Noida has taken a high leap. According to Noida Authority officials, efforts have been made for three to four years to get a Water Plus Certificate, but only now success has been achieved. On these parameters, Noida has joined the category of number 1 in UP.
Noida got Water Plus
Till now Noida had the certificate of ODF Plus. Water Plus is a category above this. Noida has Water Plus because of connects the network of toilets and sewage lines. The Garbage Free City award has been received because of collecting garbage from people’s homes and disposing of it. On the other hand, Noida will be awarded the state-level award. Noida had the five-star ranking of Garbage Free City last time also. It is noteworthy that in the cleanliness ranking released last year, Noida was ranked first in Uttar Pradesh and 11th in the country with a population of 10 lakh.
