Greater Noida West: Residents of Ace Aspire Society allege that they have been highlighting the poor condition of Atul Marg for a long time. He says that despite continuous complaints, no action is being taken by the authority. According to residents, the major problems of Atul Marg include open drains, poorly maintained green belts, improper disposal of garbage, potholes and dust pollution.
The connecting Rise Police Chowki Gaur Chowk to Atul Marg, Sector 1 in Techzone 4 of Greater Noida West has become a road of problems.
Residents of several societies like Supertech Ecovillage 1, Panchsheel Hynish, Arihant Arden and Hawelia Valencia Home use this road as a shortcut to reach Gaur Chowk.
Here, Ace Aspire residents and Apex Golf Avenue the most affected as the road falls just outside their society. Many buildings are under construction on this stretch.
The open drain on Atul Marg is just 100 meters away from his society. Earlier there was a problem of waterlogging, which was later removed and the drains were cleaned. However, they are demanding the authority to pave the drains as it causes filth. Despite this, they have not been made concrete due to which the place remains filled with water and mosquitoes keep breeding. Mosquitoes are still breeding in large numbers in the waterlogged area. Residents said that on Diwali, they were hopeful that cleaning would be done, but no one came.
We spoke to some residents of Ace Aspire Society to get their views-
Guru Das, a resident of Ace Aspire, says, “We are facing serious dust pollution due to the ongoing construction projects on this route. National Green Tribunal rules are not being followed here, which is directly impacting the health of the city residents.
Bhupesh, Resident of Ace Aspire says, “NGT rules are being ignored during construction work. Dust reaches your house and flats. We are barely getting fresh air as we cannot even think of opening our windows.”
Vivek Rai, Resident of Ace Aspire says that in the name of Smart City and Planned City, the authority is only busy with looting. Despite requests to various officials individually or on forums etc., nothing has happened so far, only assurances and promises! Proper drains have not Drains have not been built for many years, there are more potholes than roads, accidents happen every day due to fast vehicles at Atul Marg T point. There has been a struggle for years even to get a breaker. But the logo of the authority is not making any difference.”
Guru Das, Resident of Ace Aspire says, “The drain outside the society is incomplete, garbage is accumulating near Ace Aspire, and no one comes to clean it.”
Bhupesh Sharma, Resident of Ace Aspire says, “Despite repeated requests for 7-8 months, to date no progress has been made on cleaning the road from Golden Eye to Ace Aspire. Both sides of the road are filled with dust, garbage and construction debris. The trees have also not been pruned properly.”
Residents outcry that, “The road is full of potholes and during this crisis, whenever there is water splash on the road, it turns into a muddy pond. For the last 6-7 years we have not seen even a single day when sanitation workers or sanitation workers work on this road. Trees have fallen in many places, branches are broken, dry leaves are lying in the drains, debris is lying and garbage is spread which has not been collected for years.”
Saurabh Sharma, Passerby says, “There is so much dust on the road that there is a fear of the scooter slipping. The broom is used only when any big officers pays a visit.”
On reciving the repeated calls from the residents and media, Gaurav Bhagel from Greater Noida Authority paid a visit to Techzone 4 and was surprised to see the pitiable condition of the area.
He has promised to get this as soon as possible
Cleaning of the central verge and sides, Incomplete work of drains, Tender will be floated for the road and re-surfacing work will be completed by December, Blinker red light will be installed at the Atul Marg intersection within a month so that accidents are reduced. After seeing the feasibility of the breaker, work will be done on it at the time of making the rod. The service lane which is converted into a dumping ground will be cleaned soon by the team.
