11th Avenue AOA election: Pragati GC-11 secures strong mandate

New team wins eight of 10 seats in Gaur City-2 society, signalling residents’ preference for change.

Greater Noida West: The AOA elections at 11th Avenue, Gaur City-2, were conducted peacefully on October 4, with around 730 residents exercising their voting rights. The election saw a contest between Team GC-11 and the newly formed Pragati GC-11, with both teams fielding 10 candidates. Two independent candidates also contested the election.

After nearly two years under Team GC-11’s management, residents voted for change this time. Pragati GC-11 secured eight of the 10 seats, while two candidates from Team GC-11 emerged victorious. The election also saw two women candidates from the new team winning their seats, strengthening women’s representation in the new AOA executive committee.

The newly formed AOA has Ashish Bisht as President, Jitendra Kumar Verma as Vice-President, Ashish Kumar as Secretary, Kamal Nayan as Treasurer, Chhavi Chaturvedi as Joint Secretary and Priyanka Upreti as Joint Treasurer.

Rakesh Saxena, Chandrashekhar Kumar, Abhishek Agnihotri, etc have taken charge as executive committee members.

Newly elected President Ashish Bisht said the new AOA would focus on understanding residents’ concerns and addressing both major and minor issues through a transparent and systematic approach.

The team would also work towards creating a better and more positive environment in the society while encouraging greater participation of women in social and cultural activities.

Secretary Ashish Kumar said that with the formation of the new executive committee, residents of 11th Avenue are now looking forward to greater transparency, development and community participation under the new AOA.

The team would work with all members and residents, focusing on transparency, cooperation and collective decision-making for the development of the society and the welfare of its residents.
