Greater Noida West: Sanjay Kumar Sharma, a Resident of Sector 1 has filed an RTI to seek a reply from the Greater Noida Development Authority regarding the dilapidated roads of Sector-1’s high-rise societies Panchsheel Hynish, Stellar One, Supertech Eco Village-1 and Arihant Arden, which come under Greater Noida Work Circle 3 and has questioned that why even after a long period of one and a half years, the poor condition of the roads has not been removed. Deep potholes on the roads have made the movement of people difficult.
Questions were raised on the functioning of the authority
Sanjay Kumar Sharma, while tagging the copy of the reply received from the authority on the RTI on the social media site ‘X’, has questioned the working style of the Greater Noida Authority and has written that in the last one and a half years, claims of a model of development were presented several times, but due to the dilapidated roads of Sector One, the lives of thousands of people are in trouble. Sanjay has also shared pictures of these dilapidated roads on his x account.
MP Mahesh Sharma was also accused of neglecting development works
Sanjay Kumar Sharma has also asked the regional BJP MP Mahesh Sharma that there is a double-engine government in Uttar Pradesh, yet you have no concern with the problems and difficulties of the common people. The local people also accused the MP of gross neglect of the area and said that we have never seen the MP visiting the area, then how will the problems of Noida be seen?
Ridiculous answer given in RTI
The Public Information Contact Officer of Greater Noida Authority and Senior Manager of Work Circle Three have given a very ridiculous reply to Sanjay Sharma’s RTI and written that the process of e-tender for resurfacing of roads could not be started when the Model Code of Conduct was implemented due to the Lok Sabha elections in the state. This bad condition of the roads here has been there for the last about one and a half to two years and the election model code of conduct came into force in April 2024, which ended on June 4. That means, it has been more than one and a half months since the Model Code of Conduct was lifted, but the authority has nothing to do with the problems of the common people.
