Greater Noida West: Ecotech 12, Noida Extension, has been declared a “Zero Smoke Industrial Zone”, and it has been noticed that there is heavy smoke coming out from some factories in recent days. This scene is not only a blatant violation of the environmental rules of the area, but is also posing a serious threat to the health of local residents.

The most worrying thing is that despite such a clear violation, no concrete action has been taken by the concerned administrative departments so far. Why all this is not seen by the NGT?

Residents urge the administration and the concerned environmental authorities to:
- Immediately investigate this serious matter and take strict action against the guilty factories.
- Regular monitoring and a transparent system should be implemented to keep the area in line with the definition of “Zero Smoke“.
- Break the chain of this type of negligence and possible corruption and ensure accountability.
Environmental protection should be visible in ground reality and not just in policy papers. The residents and social organizations demand that quick and strict steps be taken on this issue.
