Noida : A tragic incident was reported from Noida, where a 21-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after jumping from a residential building in Wave Amore Society situated in sector 32, Noida on Sunday. The incident triggered panic among residents and created a tense atmosphere in the society.
The deceased has been identified as Arpita, who was living in Noida with her family. Originally from Manderwa village in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh, she was pursuing a BTech degree from a college in Punjab. According to initial information, she had returned to Noida just two days prior to the incident.
Upon receiving information, police from Sector 24 Police Station Noida, reached the spot promptly. The body was taken into custody and sent for postmortem examination. During the preliminary inspection, no suicide note was recovered, leaving the exact cause behind the extreme step unclear.
Family members stated that Arpita had been under mental stress for some time. However, the specific reasons that may have led to the incident are yet to be determined. Police have initiated a detailed investigation and are examining her mobile phone, including call records and messages, to understand her recent interactions and mental state.
Officials said that while the case prima facie appears to be a suicide, all possible angles are being thoroughly investigated. The fact that family members were present at home during the time of the incident has made the case more sensitive. Statements of relatives and nearby residents are being recorded as part of the probe.
Authorities are currently awaiting the postmortem report, which is expected to provide more clarity on the cause of death. Police have assured that necessary legal procedures are being followed and efforts are underway to uncover the complete truth behind the incident.
If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, seeking timely support from professionals or helplines can make a critical difference.
