On August 7, China’s Vivo is scheduled to introduce the V40 line of smartphones to India. The Vivo V40 and V40 Pro are the two devices in the series. The Vivo V40 series launch event will begin at 12 p.m. will be broadcast live on Vivo India’s official YouTube channel. The video that is attached near the conclusion of this post allows you to watch the live launch event as well.
Prior to the introduction, Vivo has disclosed a number of important data regarding the next generation of smartphones, such as the camera setups and battery specifications.
Vivo V40 Series: Predictions
Vivo’s product listing page for the V40 series states that the V40 Pro will have a triple camera arrangement on its back, which is the result of a collaboration with German optics manufacturer Zeiss. A 50-megapixel primary sensor (Sony IMX921), a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 50MP telephoto camera (Sony IMX816) are anticipated to be included in the Pro model.
The ordinary Vivo V40 will include a dual camera configuration on its back, most likely using the Pro model’s ultra-wide angle and primary cameras. Unlike the previous generation Vivo V30-series, where the Zeiss branding was restricted to the Pro model, the Zeiss relationship is probably going to continue on the base model as well.
The Vivo V40 series will be powered by a 5,500mAh battery and will support 80W rapid wired charging, the company has also announced. According to Vivo, both smartphones will have an attractive appearance and a robust build with an IP68 certification for protection against water and dust infiltration.
The basic model will have an extra Lotus Purple colour choice, while the Vivo V40 Pro will only be offered in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey.
