Greater Noida West: A tree plantation campaign was launched at Authority Park in Sector 16B, Greater Noida West, with environmental volunteers coming together to promote greener surroundings and encourage community participation in environmental conservation.
The campaign began with the plantation of 31 saplings, marking the start of a larger green initiative aimed at increasing the area’s green cover.
Members of the Eco Friends Group actively participated in the drive and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the environment through regular plantation activities.
Among those who took part were Mahesh Yadav (Casa Greens), J.N. Prasad (Gulshan Bellina), Sunil Rathore (Casa Greens), Gaurav Dhawan (Royal Court), Sanjeev Gupta (Panchsheel 2), Jogendra Pal (Royal Court), Karam Singh Pal (Amrapali Leisure Valley), Navneet Dixit (Om Sai Enclave) and Satish Sharma (Cabana), along with other residents and volunteers.
Participants emphasised that tree
plantation is one of the most effective ways to combat rising temperatures, improve air quality and create a healthier environment for future generations. They appealed to more residents to join such initiatives and contribute towards building a greener Greater Noida West.
The Eco Friends Group also announced that the next tree plantation programme is proposed for next Sunday at the park behind School of Scholars. Residents from nearby societies have been invited to participate and help make the campaign a larger community movement.
The organisers expressed hope that consistent plantation drives, coupled with proper care and maintenance of saplings, would significantly enhance the green landscape of the area in the coming years.
