Temasek’s arm cuts off 1.4% stake in Godrej Agrovet for over Rs 212 cr | Company News

An affiliate of Temasek Holdings, V-Sciences Investments, sold a 1.4% share in Godrej Agrovet on Friday for a price above Rs 212 crore in an open market deal.


Singapore’s state-owned international investment company is called Temasek Holdings. The investment company’s portfolio was valued at SGD 389 billion as of March 31, 2024.


Based on the National Stock Exchange’s (NSE) bulk trade data, V-Sciences Investments offloaded 2.71 million shares, or 1.41 percent of Godrej Agrovet.


The deal value increased to Rs 212.77 crore when the shares were sold for an average of Rs 785.13 each.

V-Sciences Investments’ ownership of Godrej Agrovet has decreased to 6.36 percent from 7.77 percent following the stake sale.


It was unable to identify the buyers of Godrej Agrovet’s shares.


Temasek reduced its holdings in the agricultural company Godrej Agrovet in May 2022 by selling 40 lakh shares for Rs 197 crore. Previous to it, the company’s shares were sold for Rs 204 crore by the Singaporean global investment group in February 2020.


Godrej Agrovet’s stock increased 1.57% to close at Rs 794 per share on the NSE.
