The FMCG manufacturer Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) has combined its three wholly-owned subsidiaries following regulatory clearances and NCLT permission.
According to a statement from the Tata Group FMCG business, TCPL has combined with the company its wholly-owned subsidiaries Tata Consumer Soulfull Pvt Ltd, NourishCo Beverages Ltd, and Tata SmartFoodz Ltd.
We would like to notify you that the requirements listed in Clause 17 of the Scheme, which include submitting certified copies of the order in Form INC-28 to the appropriate company’s registrar of companies, have been fulfilled. The company stated in a regulatory filing that, as a result, September 1, 2024 is the effective date of the scheme (of merger).
This is consistent with the company’s goal of streamlining and simplifying operations. It further stated that by unifying the legal entity structure, efficiencies and synergies will be unlocked.
The operational framework of these business divisions remains unchanged, and their concentration will remain on the following product portfolios: millet-based products, ready-to-drink products, and ready-to-cook/ready-to-eat products. Tata Consumer Products’ growing businesses include these product portfolios, the statement read.
Tea, coffee, water, RTD, salt, beans, spices, ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat items, morning cereals, snacks, and small meals are among the products offered by TCPL.
With a combined revenue of Rs 15,206 crore, the company is the owner of several well-known beverage brands, such as Tetley, Tata Tea, Organic India, Tata Coffee Grand, Himalayan Natural Mineral Water, Tata Copper+, and Tata Gluco+.
